Dr. Marti Harris

Barbara's Story

I was suffering from vertigo attacks and constant ringing in the ears. The dizzy attacks would last not just hours but weeks even months at a time. The attacks would strike without warning. In the first year they became so sever that I had to give up full time work and I resorted to temping when I could. My quality of life was not great.
I had to give up on a lot of things that I used to do, tai chi was one of them. Very hard to do when you do not have any balance! The attacks were quite frequent and occurred over several years. There is nothing worse than not be able to move, having to stay still because if you moved your head the spinning would start. Up down round and round, it was relentless. I followed the normal path and had MRI's and CT scans as well as several visits to the ear specialist but they could not find anything to explain it. My GP advised that it could be meniere's disease. I had no real answers and no where to go. Seasickness medication did not help and nothing would get rid of the ringing except when I went to sleep. My whole life changed for the better when I moved to the Southern Highlands. My partner, who is no stranger to Chiropractors', needed to find one for himself and he found Marti. By this stage the attacks were happening yearly. The last one had been going on for 3 months. Some days were ok with only a very mild dizziness that you could cope with and other days all you could do was lie in bed or on the lounge with your eyes closed keeping still. About 12 months later half my body went numb. If you draw a line straight down the middle of your body the whole right hand side was numb! My partner booked me in to see Marti, under large protest from me. I will always be grateful to him for not listening to my protests and actually coming with me on those first few visits.  I remember going home after the first visit and crying from joy, I had found my answer. There was now hope. It has been a few years now and yes I have no ringing in my ears, I have no numbness and I have not had an attack since I started chiropractics care. I can now stand on one leg with my eyes closed and not fall over, I can go swimming again, I can ride a bike again and best of all I can actually run. I would like to thank you Marti for your willingness in sharing your knowledge, your genuine care for the well being of my life, your enthusiasm for life that never waivers and the confident and professional approach you bring to every consult. I feel very safe putting my health and my life in your hands. Chiropractic care has given me back my life in so many ways. I always look forward to my next adjustment which helps maintain my now excellent quality of life.

Moira's Story

In 1975 I was badly injured in a motor vehicle accident which resulted in facial and head injuries, double whiplash to my neck, jaw dislocation, spinal fractures, chest and internal damage, spinal subluxations and coccyx misplacement hip and pelvis damage, fractured knee caps which dislocated if kneeling, fractures of right ankle and foot, ligament and tendon damage.  There was also some brain damage in the area which controls memory recall.  All in all not a good experience. 

I lost all control of my bladder and bowel and became very reclusive because of this.   I could not take medication as I am allergic to almost all of them.  My physical, mental and emotional state became much reduced and severe depression set in.

Eventually I was advised to try chiropractic and the adjustments gave me physical relief and saved my sanity.  My condition was such that nerve compression and damage means that I shall require chiropractic treatments for the rest of my life and I thank God for the help that chiropractors can give me.

Since attending at Marti Harris' clinic, I have regained much lost muscle tone, my vision, memory, jaw neck, spine and limbs have improved tremendously and I can heartily recommend chiropractic adjustments to anyone and Marti Harris in particular as a caring and competent specialist in all chiropractic matters.

Marina's Story

I cam to see Marti Harris at Chiropractic Health Centre in Mittagong when sciatic pain had become a serious concern.  After the initial treatment, pain decreased significantly and I would walk briskly again and, most importantly, I could sleep without the help of medication.  Further treatment and advice resulted in improved energy levels and a general sense of wellbeing.  I don't feel like an "old lady" anymore, despite fast approaching "three score and ten"!  Thank you Marti.

BRETT'S STORY

I had been receiving chiropractic treatment on a regular basis prior to moving from Sydney to the Highlands in 1992 and I consequently had problems finding a suitable local Chiropractor to save driving back to Sydney when I needed treatment following an article in the local paper on week I contacted Marti’s office and since then I have never looked back.

GARY'S GOLF STORY

I love to play golf. Only Marti’s care and treatment keeps me on the course. Wednesday I could barely walk, 2 visits to Marti and on Saturday I was runner-up in the medal round. Thanks Marti
